Who we are
Meribel Ski Chalets Ltd (“we”, “us”) is responsible for your personal data. We are a company registered in England and Wales (company number 04734469), with our registered office at 29-31 Brewery Road, London N7 9QH.

What we collect
- Booking details: names of the lead guest and party members, address, email, phone number, arrival and departure dates, and any special requests you give us (such as dietary needs).
- Payment details: card payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. We keep records of what you’ve paid and when.
- Messages: emails, calls and messages you send us.
- Website use: information about how you use our website, such as pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected through cookies if you agree to them (see section 7).
How and why we use it
- To manage your booking and stay – taking payment, sending your confirmation and pre-arrival information, and looking after you during your stay. Lawful basis: performing our contract with you.
- To keep financial and tax records. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
- To answer your enquiries and resolve any complaints or disputes. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running our business and responding to you.
- To understand how our website is used and improve it. Lawful basis: your consent, given through our cookie banner.
We do not send marketing emails and we do not sell your data.
Who we share it with
We don’t pass your details to other businesses for their own use. We do use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and only for the purposes above:
- Smoobu – booking management
- Stripe – payment processing
- Google – website analytics
- our website host and email provider
We may also disclose information if the law requires us to.
International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, for example Stripe and Google in the USA. Where they do, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations or approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
- Booking and payment records: 6 years after your stay, as required for tax and accounting.
- Enquiries that don’t lead to a booking: up to 12 months.
- Website analytics data: up to 14 months.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to make our website work. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through our cookie banner and change your choice at any time.
Keeping your data safe
We use reputable, secure providers and limit access to your data to people who need it. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- ask us to delete your data, where we no longer need to keep it
- object to or restrict how we use your data
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw consent at any time (for example, to analytics cookies)

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
